?Why should I use OWJS?

To us, process serving is not only being successful with the service but to provide results. We are not that agency that attempts an address to report that the person no longer resides at the address attempted. Our servers obtain information regarding the individual, whether it be a neighbor, the super, the landlord an occupant, family member, our results will result in something that will enable us to locate another address. This information is gathered which enables us to research an alternate address. Our service is providing results so that eventually the result will provide the service needed!

?What is process serving?

Process serving is a procedure where a party (plaintiff/Petitioner and Defendant/Respondent) to an action (lawsuit) gives notice to the other party that an action has been commenced in court to exercise jurisdiction over that person.  Notice is provided by “serving” a set of the court documents on the other party.

?What does a process server do?

A Process server (“server”) is to “serve” (deliver) the court documents provided to them to a party in an action against them in the court if law (most often defendant). Upon completion of a service, an affidavit of service (proof of the serve) is then signed by the process server and notarized by a notary stating how service was made. This affidavit is then provided to the court.

?How can I stay up to date on the service?

At OWJS, we use advanced technology where our clients can check the status of and view their documentation related to the case 24 hour a day, 7 days a week. Our Process Servers carry and employ the use of a GPS tracking device which creates an electronic record of the date, time and location of where process is being served or attempted. Our office hours are from 7:30 am - 6 pm Monday through Friday.
